Hi everyone! Today I am coming to you with a very exciting post! On February 27th I’ll be turning 18!! It is so exciting and I cannot believe I’ve reached this milestone in my life. For my 18th birthday I wanted to do something different. As many of you may know, I have a macaron obsession which gave me the idea and theme for my birthday party. When I think of macaron’s the first thing that comes to mind is Lauduree and Breakfast at Tiffany’s (also my favorite movie). I decided on having a brunch style party with my color theme being pastels! In this party planning series I’ll take you through my steps and tips to having a perfectly planned party.

Step 1: Find Your Inspiration

There’s so many sites and apps you can go to for party inspiration! Check out sites/apps such as Wanelo, Pinterest, and Instagram. Also, if you have an idea for a theme type it into google with the word ‘party’ afterwards and look at the different images that come up. Another fun tip is to look at different bakeries Instagram accounts at their pictures of decorated cakes and cupcakes! It’s a great way to not only come up with a theme but maybe an idea for your cake. Once you have all of your inspiration gathered make a collage! You can either print out your pictures and make a physical collage or use Polyvore to combine your images. Below is my 18th birthday party inspiration collage. Stay tuned for more party planning tips!
