Some times when you go in for an interview you realize that the job isn’t for you, and that is okay. This is something I learned today. I went in to the Alice and Olivia offices for an internship interview with very high hopes. Not to say my hopes were let down, the vibe I got just wasn’t what I had expected. Of course there were many other factors that went into my decision such as distance, travel time, and the end date of the internship. This internship just wasn’t what I was looking for and I don’t see anything wrong with that. It was a great experience, my first ‘real’ interview, and I am very grateful to even have had the oppurtunity to interview with such a prestigious corporation. Below is not the outfit I wore to the interview (I’m a skirt girl at heart) but it is one that I will be wearing to future internship interviews. Black on black is feminine and classy and gives off a great first impression which is very important especially when it comes to the fashion world. Good luck to all of you in finding the perfect job, internship, college; whatever it may be you are looking for. The perfect one for you is out there, you just have to keep searching.
